Awesome 1st Novel!!

Whose Waves These Are is an outstanding novel! It’s hard to believe that this is Amanda Dykes’ first full length novel. There will be many, many books by Amanda in the years to come as this book is very well written!

Amanda does a super writing job of creating a Maine city & a great story in that setting. She does a fantastic job of weaving two generations together with a very interesting story. She has a great gift of bringing a well written story together that kept me interested throughout the novel. I highly recommend Whose Waves These Are.

Great historical fiction!

A FAR SIDE OF THE SEA is a fantastic story set in WWI. The book is very well written by Kate Breslin. The story is interesting, the characters are well developed & the WWI research was top notch! I applaud Kate! After reading this book, I want to read more of Kate Breslin’s books. Superb book by a talented writer!

The Curse of Misty Wayfair

This book gives great insight on mental health 100 years ago. The writer goes from present day back to 100 years ago with each chapter, so you definitely need to stay aware of which character you are reading about with each chapter. But it is easy to follow the characters & the author does a great job of weaving the stories together. We’ve come a long way with how we treat those with mental illness & you will be very grateful as you read this book. If you like books that put you on the edge of your seat, send a chill down your spine & make you want to keep the lights on at night, this book is for you! You need to read The Curse of Misty Wayfair!

Mind Games is an awesome read!!!

Nancy Mehl is an awesome writer! Every book I’ve read of Ms. Mehl’s is fantastic! Mind Games is another great fiction book by this talented writer. Mind Games kept my interest & I wanted to finish the book each time I began reading, but time & commitments didn’t allow me to read this great book as fast as I wanted to.

FBI’s Kaely Quinn has an interesting method of finding killers. Having become quite well-known, Kaely becomes the target of a serial killer. Kaely & her new partner, Special Agent Noah Hunter, must track down this killer before he kills more people, including Special Agent Quinn! Mind Games is such a great page-turning book!

“Shelter of the Most High” was great!

In reading Shelter of the Most High by Connilyn Cossette, I felt like I was being taken back to the Old Testament! This novel was creatively set in the middle of  Biblical events. I’ve never read a book about the sanctuary cities of the OT. What great insight to read this novel & imagine what it was like to live in these unique protected cities. Ms. Cossette did an outstanding job weaving a story inside the OT! This book will give you great insight into a part of the OT that is rarely discussed or written about. It is a great read, easy to follow & has a fabulous story. Buy this book today, you will be glad you did!!

“The Last Hour” is AWESOME!

Every Christian Believer needs to read The Last Hour by Amir Tsarfati! What an amazing & insightful book! Easy to read, well written & closely tied to the Bible. From a Jewish Believer who’s home overlooks the Valley of Megiddo (Armageddon), there is such great Biblical insight in this book!! Amir Tsarfati adds a strong sense of humor to this awesome book. If Pastor David Jeremiah can read this book in one sitting & proclaim that this is unique among 100’s of prophetic books he has read, we should all take notice & read this awesome book! I plan on giving several copies of this book as gifts to friends, as well as reading this insightful book again so that I can learn even more. I have been a vocational Christian minister for 28+ years & I was 100% impressed! You need to buy this fabulous book & soak in the unique insights of a Jewish Believer in the Messiah!!!

Minnesota & Wisconsin Mission Field

What a blessing & a privilege to be a missionary in Minnesota & Wisconsin!! Wait, you say, you aren’t living in a foreign country….no, my friend I’m not. And I don’t face the difficulties that the great US missionaries in international countries face. OR the cultural difficulties that missionaries from other countries face as they minister in America!!

But I am a North American missionary endorsed by the SBC, as a Chaplain with Marketplace Chaplains in Minnesota & Wisconsin. And what a blessing & God-given honor to be here leading some of the greatest Chaplains serving in the Marketplace!!

I don’t write a lot about myself or Marketplace, because I don’t want the attention to be on me for the former. And as for the latter, most of my FB friends don’t know that Marketplace even exists. But for the 207K employees, 577K family members with 859 companies in 1,393 cities in 6 countries, we are very real & present!! And God is using our Chaplains to bring people into His Kingdom, help heal the hurts & pain and work through so many emotional & spiritual scars.

The last 10 months haven’t been easy at all. Most life adjustments, career adjustments & family adjustments aren’t. But compared to missionaries all over the globe, my life adjustments are pretty small! I’ve got running water 24/7, I’m not pulling a bike or motorcycle through flooded waters to visit my Chaplains & companies, I’m not getting threatened to be killed or shot at, I’m eating familiar food & I could get in my Jeep & drive to see my awesome young adult children. (Praying for you Hannah & Josh as you serve for a month in the mountains of your beloved Peru!!)

It’s all in attitude & perspective. Somebody always has it worse. What me & most Americans face is pretty minuscule compared to what several Billion people face on a daily basis. My friends in India, Pakistan, all over the Middle East, Asia, Africa, South & Central America, etc. face more difficulties in one week than we usually face in one year! Or maybe in a lifetime.

Sometimes we just need to take a deep breath. Breathe in the fresh air that we are blessed to breathe, given by a loving God. And remember it isn’t so bad. It could be much, much worse for most of us. God has blessed us with another day. Given so much to so many. Now, we need to see what HE will do through us as we focus more on Him, on others & less on ourselves.

You Need to Read Blind Betrayal!!

Blind Betrayal by Nancy Mehl is another page-turner by Mehl! Her books are exciting, interesting & fun to read. Blind Betrayal is certainly the next awesome book by Nancy Mehl. She is a very gifted writer. Blind Betrayal got my attention right away & kept my curiosity all through the book. I got involved in the story, following the characters such as US Marshal Casey Sloan. I read & kept looking forward to what would happen next in this action-packed drama! Mehl’s Defenders of Justice series is a “must buy!!” Read Blind Betrayal if you want to see what happens with US Marshal Casey Sloan, in a story that could very well be in the papers next week.
