An Interesting Mystery Book to Check Out!!!

A lot seems to happen at 322 Predicament Avenue! Norah tries to run a Bed and Breakfast there, where her sister was murdered. But the old farmhouse has seen murders before! True-crime podcaster, Sebastian Blaine shows up at the B and B to talk about the murder of Isabelle Addington. Isabelle was a woman who was murdered over 100 years earlier at the same address. Norah fears Sebastian’s podcast will awaken tough memories of her sister’s mystery case. As Sebastian begins digging deeper, Norah realizes there are things she didn’t know about her sister’s murder. Hopefully with Sebastians help, she can get some needed answers.

Over a hundred years earlier in 1901, Effie and her sister Polly stumble upon a horrible murder taking place at the same historic location. Soon after a Mr. Anderson seeks Effie out, after hearing about the murder. He declares the murdered woman must be his wife, Isabelle Addington. They work together to solve the mystery. They must be getting close to the truth, because a lot of trouble comes their way!

This book starts slowly, so it took a while to really pique my interest. From the beginning, there was a creepy vibe with the story. The book was difficult to follow because the writer kept going from the two murders. There’s some romance for both Norah and Effie, but it wasn’t the main story, so it does not dominate the book, like some Christian romance books. The story takes off and picks up excitement, chapter by chapter. The story comes to an exciting and interesting conclusion!

Up From Dust is an awesome Biblical fiction book!!!

I love historical Biblical fiction! I’ve never read a historical fiction book where the main character was Martha. This book really helped me see Martha in a new & fresh way! It also helped me look at her brother Lazarus & her sister Mary in a brand new way. This was a fascinating & well written book! I hope to read more Biblical fiction by Heather Kaufman in the future. She is an outstanding fiction writer! I highly recommend Up From Dust! Get you a copy now!

Voice of the Ancient is Awesome Biblical Fiction!

This story is so fascinating that I had a hard time putting this book down! Connilyn Cossette does a tremendous job of bringing her characters to life. I love history & especially Biblical history. The author makes me love Biblical history even more! The relationships among the main characters are woven throughout the story & this really keeps your attention! I highly recommend Voice of the Ancient & all Connilyn Cossette books! She is an outstanding historical Christian writer!!! 5 stars always!!!

AWESOME book by Nancy Mehl!

Nancy Mehl hit “another one out of the park!” Her book deals with a mental condition that most of us aren’t familiar with that causes someone to literally see red and consequently kill people. Ms. Mehl’s book keeps you on the edge of your seat & you want to see what is going to happen next! Nancy is a superior writer & I’ve loved every book that she has written. Buy this book! You won’t be disappointed!!

Hope For Ukraine…Awesome Stories about Ukrainian Christians!!!

This was an awesome book about the lives of Ukrainian Christians that were caught up in the war with Russia. The stories really helped me to see this war from a Ukranian citizen’s eyes. I highly recommend this book! Buying this book will also help Ukrainians, since a large percentage for every book sold goes towards helping Ukrainian families!

The Deadly Shallows

Featured

The Deadly Shallows was an awesome book on faith. It is full of suspense from the the beginning to the end. There is tremendous action throughout the book. The main characters are committed to a cause much bigger than themselves. The strong & interesting characters make this a 5 star read for you to enjoy! Very hard to put down & not read all the way through!! I highly recommend The Deadly Shallows!!!

The Apostle’s Sister

This is an excellent historical fiction book! The Apostle’s Sister was well researched. I learned a lot as I read the book. I learned about Tarsus & Jerusalem. I learned about Jewish customs & traditions. But the important thing is I really enjoyed reading this well-written book! I applaud the author Angela Hunt for her historical research, the author’s notes at the conclusion of the book & the way she took me into the Aya & Paul’s life in a way that I hadn’t been before. I highly recommend The Apostle’s Sister! You will be very glad you read this extremely interesting book!

The Lines Between Us

This is a good novel about conviction and courage. The conscientious objectors fight fires instead of fighting in WWII. They stick with their convictions and help in other ways where they are also needed. Following the CO Gordon Hooper, his buddy Jack Armitage & his sister Dorie is interesting. There are some mysteries along the way. If you haven’t read or studied about this part of WWII, there are some good insights and history to be learned.

The Barrister

The Barrister is set in 1818 England. This is the 1st book I’ve read by the author, but I plan on reading other books by him. I thought he did a terrific job in writing this historical fiction book.

I learned some interesting things about the time period, England & the law profession during the early 1800’s. But I was really captivated by the story & tried hard to figure out the mystery in this story. This definitely kept my attention & I never figured out the mystery until it was revealed at the end of the book. I highly recommend The Barrister! It was a great book! It was really good to read a fiction book that didn’t seem centered on a romantical plot! There is definitely some romance involved, but it doesn’t dominate the pages like many fiction books. Buy this book, you will be glad you did!!!
